Title:
A FROZEN FLAME
A FROZEN FLAME
Flame of love can be ignited
In a heart that is still alive.
If there lingers the faintest breath,
The dying may, somehow, survive.
A spark is all that is needed
To set ablaze the stack of hay;
But if it be damp and rotten,
Cold, unlit, unburnt it will stay.
My love, no longer does that spark
Hide in the recess of my heart.
The more you try to warm me up,
The colder I get, on my part.
Pray, do not waste your love on me.
I am now but a frozen flame.
Take your love to a flaming heart.
I am a flame only in name.
