Title:
DON’T HURT A WOMAN
|
DON’T HURT A WOMAN
Don’t hurt a woman, O man,
Your fair partner she is.
I gave her to you so that
She bring you my own bliss.
Don’t forget how I made her:
From the rib on your left.
Why, in your thought, of this fact,
You have become bereft?
She was not made from your foot,
So, she’s not walked upon;
Nor from the head so that she
Does not take you head on.
She was made from your side, so,
You keep her by your side.
Walk together hand in hand,
And be each other’s pride.
