Overview of Your Portfolio
Your portfolio is where all the work you add to Writing.Com is stored. The portfolio system is a unique feature that gives Writing.Com members the ability to create and organize their writing and other items. Your items - online works you create on Writing.Com - will be kept in your online portfolio, which can be found by clicking Portfolio/Portfolio in the left navigation menu. For more information on creating items, see: "How To Create an Item.

Create, Edit, Delete and Organize... Whenever You Want!
Writing.Com members enjoy the freedom and the control the portfolio system gives them over their items. Whether you want to upload stories and poetry, create Groups and Forums for the Writing.Com community, or run interactive items like Polls and Surveys, the portfolio system allows you to create these items and organize them however you want, including creating folders and putting their contents into any order you wish. You can delete your work at will and replace it with other items.

When you have posted all of your work to your Writing.Com portfolio, you have a great place to provide readers with one-stop access to all your creative works. Friends, family, literary representatives, and even publishers can view your body of work in one easy-to-navigate online location.

All Writing.Com software is proprietary and written in-house. As such, your Writing.Com portfolio provides you with a variety of controls and options that give you the maximum flexibility with your work. From setting access restrictions to compiling item viewing statistics, few online writing communities can provide you with the resources Writing.Com does to manage and promote your work.

This section provides an overview of the features that can be found in your Writing.Com portfolio. For more information on creating and working with your items, see the Posting Content on Writing.Com   and Item & Writing Tools   sections of "Writing.Com 101.

Portfolio Tabs
Your Writing.Com portfolio is divided into several tabs which are shown at the top of the page:

*Bullet* Portfolio: Click on the Portfolio tab to go to your main portfolio area. This page contains your portfolio header with cover and Bio Block along with a listing of all of your items, and your Recycling Bin. For more information on your Portfolio tab and the tools available to manage it, see ""Portfolio" Tab.

*Bullet* Reviews: The Reviews tab contains links to private listings of all your given and received ratings and reviews and the tools to manage them, an area for introducing your reviewing style and preferences, a form for other members to submit review requests to you, and a listing of your public reviews. For more information on your Reviews tab, see "Reviews Tab

*Bullet* Biography: The Biography tab contains a section for biographical and personal information, such as you might display on a social networking site. Below that are tiles of your RECOMMENDED ITEMS, which you can set, and an automated list of your most recent New and Updated Items, which initially displays your five most recently modified items, and dynamically loads more on request in reverse chronological order. For more information on the Biography tab and setting Recommended Items, see "Biography Tab.

*Bullet* Notebook: The Notebook tab provides a space where you can post short messages and reply to short messages from other Writing.Com users, just like a status update for a social networking site. Your own messages posted here are also displayed in the Community Newsfeed. For more information on the Newsfeed, see "Newsfeed. For more information on your Notebook, see "Notebook Tab.

*Bullet* Blog: The Blog tab is one way to open your Writing.Com blog, if you've set one up, and provides additional features for the Book item assigned to the tab. For more information on creating and working with your blog, see "Blog Tab.

*Bullet* Community: The Community tab tracks all your involvement on Writing.Com. It contains a breakdown of your Community Recognition and Member Activity, displays lists of your Merit Badges, Achievements, and Awardicons, and links to lists of your Trinkets and Interactive Chapters. For more information on the Community tab, see "Community Tab.

*Bullet* Fans: The Fans tab is one way to keep track of the other Writing.Com items and authors you enjoy. For more information on creating favorites and fans, see "My Favorites and Fans. For information on the Fans tab, see "Fans Tab.

*Bullet* Sliders: Sliders are the Writing.Com equivalent of magnetic poetry. You can create individual strips of words or phrases that can be arranged freely in a display space, and can store images of their arrangement. For more information on Sliders, see "Sliders Tab.1
