I have missed you Lexi!!! I am very happy to be back home with all of you. I would love for us to create another poetry book together :) I thank you for the membership upgrade!! In about 5 days I am going to be very brave and enter a Poetry Contest on here..my first contest in 12 years!!! YIKES!

Rich,
I used to write daily, but haven't really done so with ease in a awhile. Honestly, I write best when I am sad or depressed and haven't felt that way recently, so that's great for my personal life, but not so great for my writing life

I would very much like to help in this matter, sorry, a dream analyzer is beyond my means.
I do well at day dreaming and remembering the odd night dream.
Freud said something about it all relating back to our basic instincts.
Maybe it is your Muse trying to tell you something ?
Maybe you need to write more ?

I have not been to al-anon, but have seriously considered going there. I want to try and understand it all. Currently, she has other people that she met in treatment that she is turning to, because they can relate to her, so she says. I am okay with that, if it is helping her. She has been distant from me, mainly because she doesn't like my fiance. It's strange, the things that occurred that made her not like him was that he was honest with her about what he thought and saw with her addictions. She does not want me with him because she feels he judged her. My other friends that know the situation seem to think that she does not want me with anyone because that takes time away from her. It is a mess, but she has not made efforts to contact me in the last few weeks; she has not needed to because there are other people there caring for her. I love her, but maybe it is for the best. I still think I should try a meeting though.

Congratulations on your engagement, Lexi!

Have you ever tried Al-anon or a similar program for friends and family of addicts? There's also an online Family's Anonymous that I found very helpful!

We played flashlight tag and scores of other games...staying inside on a nice day meant either your chores weren't finished yet or you were in deep trouble!

We played a version of Jailbreak. I think it was better at dusk because the lessening light afforded more opportunities for spectacular jailbreaks.

My favorite boyhood game was Kick the Can though. Man I loved that. It was also better at sundown. Coming out of nowhere, when the other team didn't expect it, and getting an unanswered can kick -- man that felt good.

I am still having phone issues. I can get it to work sometimes, but there has been this issue where when I try to use it it says that I can only make emergency calls. i don't know if is my fault or the companies.... getting sick of it though.

Tom, I have to say that I hoped that they wouldn't benefit forever... I did wish for that part.

Cartoon Crazy

When I was a kid I remember watching this cartoon. Spiderman played a part in it, then there was this female red-headed superhero who wore a bright yellow catsuit. For the life of me I cannot remember the hero's name, but can picture her. It's driving me crazy! Does anyone remember this superhero?

Hey you guys!

Last night I was talking to friends about the movie Goonies and it's playing on AMC right now. I must have seen this movie more than 20 times when I was a kid. I love the scene where Chunk is interrogated by the Fratellis. He was such an animated character!

Francis Fratelli : Tell us everything! Everything!
Chunk : Everything. OK! I'll talk! In third grade, I cheated on my history exam. In fourth grade, I stole my uncle Max's toupee and I glued it on my face when I was Moses in my Hebrew School play. In fifth grade, I knocked my sister Edie down the stairs and I blamed it on the dog...When my mom sent me to the summer camp for fat kids and then they served lunch I got nuts and I pigged out and they kicked me out...But the worst thing I ever done -- I mixed a pot of fake puke at home and then I went to this movie theater, hid the puke in my jacket, climbed up to the balcony and then, t-t-then, I made a noise like this: hua-hua-hua-huaaaaaaa -- and then I dumped it over the side, all over the people in the audience. And then, this was horrible, all the people started getting sick and throwing up all over each other. I never felt so bad in my entire life.
