But finally I have decided to go for it. This blog is for me, about me and really when it's all said and done~~If you visit my place and you don't like it here, you don't have to be here! This is for me! To help me! This is my place to vent, rave, rant, cry, laugh and say whatever I need to say! I think we all have personal truths. This blog is to help me find my personal truth, deal with my personal truths, let go of some of my personal truths and build on my personal truths! Personal Truth are those thoughts and actions which lead to a feeling of well-being. I think there has to be accountability in order for truth to be found in a personal way. | OLD!! : ( I took my son to pick up an application to fill out for a job~~~Too weird!! Here in Iowa they can work at 14, I hope he's ready...I think he'll be fine, it's ME that might not be!! Their last day of school was today, I'm kind of glad but not sure I'm ready for it. They are old enough to take care of their self. I'm just a light sleeper so I don't get to sleep as well when they are home. Plus all their running they want to do....the pool, the Y, the mall, to this friends house to that friends house, and their sports. I got both my contests judged and awarded today plus a few reviews done! I haven't written in a while, but I just don't feel motivated to write....maybe the mood will hit me. Have a good night. |
| Good to be home and back to the routine of daily life!! The weekend was pretty good. My son's team ended up winning 2nd place in the tournament. We had 3 teams from our town and one of them always beats us (which is basically because our boys are intimidated by the team because it's the "better" team).....We beat them !! WOOHOO...we beat them 11 to 10, we went into 2 overtimes and it was very tense!! Yesterday, I didn't do much, just rested and played online games!! Hope you all have a great week!! |
We leave out today after the kids get out of school. Cody's 1st game isn't until 1 p.m. Sturday, but I had the room booked for 2 nights so I just kept the reservations. At least we can sleep in Saturday a.m. and not be rushed with getting into town and looking for the baseball park!! And the kids can swim tonight and I'm just READY to get out of the house! He went and got pictures and awards for the Hit, Pitch and Run contest and the Homerun Derby contest!!He got 3 blue ribbons and a trophy. We got the information on going to the next level, Sectionals and then on to Regional...which is in Missouri....BUT the is no way he can go to it this Saturday and make it to the tournament. It is over 150 miles between the 2 towns that he has to be in!! And since he made the committment to this Travelling Team, I feel he has to be there. It would have been really neat for him to go to the other, he could have won some awesome gifts~one being an all-expense paid trip to Chicago to see the Cubs play. Oh well, he has been to a Cubs game in Chicago...but Caitlyn and I have'nt!! lol So over the last 2 days I have done over 35 reviews!! Got my contests caught up and my group forums!! been reviewing all day...some craze came over me! I even burnt a pan of tea, because I forgot about it while I was reviewing!  Anyone know the best way to get burnt tea out of a pan...I feel dumb who burns tea??  I have got my Weekly Contest caught up (as soon as I'm done here I'm going to pick the winners for this week!!) I love the new reviewing tool!! Isn't he cute?!?!?    Oh by the way it's Kelly one year Site birthday. I'm so glad she found this site and we have became such great friends!! She is awsome.  I have been so hyper today!! I already have dinner cooked, all I will have to do is warm it. I got the house cleaned, the guest room was a mess (after Cody's birthday-slumber party!) And I got 2 loads of clothes done!! Cody has a game tonight if it doesn't rain, so with everything done, I won't feel so rushed!! Hope you all have a great day!  |
| just called and said that Cody had won in the Home-run derby that we had this past weekend. That he had placed as the Overall Winner in his age-group and had won in the Hit and Run part with the fastest run and the fartherest hit!! This advances him to Sectionals and he could go on to Regionals, the man couldn't remember what all he could win but one thing was an all expense paid trip to see he Cubs play! Only problem is the next event takes place this weekend and he has a Travelling Baseball Tournament that is about 130 miles from the place where the Derby events take place>>>>so not sure how we are going to handle this yet. He gets his picture took tomorrow for the newspaper and we will get all the information then. The worst thing about his travelling team is there are only 10 players on the team and he is one of the strongest players on the team and it would really hurt the team if he isn't there........ I got to talk with y brother on the phone today, was really good to hear from him. I hadn't been able to talk to him since he got out of rehab. I hope to see him this summer@! Well off for awhile, I have to run Caitlyn to her softball practice. And I want to watch the Idol finals..plus there is a Stephen King movie on tonight too, I'll have to switch back and forth. : ) Have a good night! |
| the weekend is over. I'm ready for the routine of the week to start! I feel like we have been runnning since Thursday. My son had a scrimmage Thursday after school and then an hour afterwards my daughter had a band concert. I worked Thurs. night, slept a little Friday morning after getting the kids off to school. Ran some errands. Cody had baseball practise fri. night and then the kids and I watched some movies (it had been forever since we had rented movies!) We saw Last Holiday, Big Mommas House part 2, When a Stranger calls and Rumor Has It. They were all pretty good. I didn't really like the ending of When A Stranger calls. Big Mommas house was so funny!! Saturday my son had openening day for little league basball. His team won their game! They also had a Run, pitch and homerun derby. Each kid that wanted to, participated in all 3 events and they added the scores of all 3 together. The highest ones go to Des Moines to represent our town! My son had the fastest running time and he was the only one that actually made a homerun. They were hitting off a tee and his went over the fence out of the field. He didn't do to well on the pitching (which he is a pitcher!!) but they had them stand in a batter's box and throw at a target that was kind of close. They will contact the winners sometime this week. It would be cool if he got to go but we are so busy with his travelling baseball and the league team...we will see. This coming weekend his travelling team has a tournament. We are leaving Friday after school and will come back Sunday afternoon. I have 3 day weekend so I am kind of ready for it! So the little boy goes off to bed thinking about what Dad has said. Later that night, he hears his baby brother crying, so he gets up to check on him. He finds that the baby has severely soiled his diaper. So the little boy goes to his parent's room and finds his mother asleep. Not wanting to wake her, he goes to the nanny's room. Finding the door locked, he peeks in the keyhole and sees his father in bed with the nanny. He gives up and goes back to bed. The next morning, the little boy say's to his father, "Dad, I think I understand the concept of politics now. " The father says, "Good, son, tell me in your own words what you think politics is all about." The little boy replies, "The President is screwing the Working Class while the Government is sound asleep. The People are being ignored and the Future is in deep crap." |
| Why, Why, Why ? Why do we press harder on a remote control when we know the batteries are getting weak? Why do banks charge a fee on "insufficient funds" when they know there is not enough? Why does someone believe you when you say there are four billion stars, but check when you say the paint is wet? Why doesn't glue stick to the bottle? Why do they use sterilized needles for death by lethal injection? Why doesn't Tarzan have a beard? Why does Superman stop bullets with his chest, but ducks when you throw a revolver at him? Why do Kamikaze pilots wear helmets? Whose idea was it to put an "S" in the word "lisp"? If people evolved from apes, why are therestill apes? Why is it that no matter what color bubble bath you use the bubbles are always white? Is there ever a day that mattresses are not on sale? Why do people constantly return to the refrigerator with hopes that something new to eat will have materialized? Why do people keep running over a string a dozen times with their vacuum cleaner, then reach down, pick it up, examine it, then put it down to the vacuum one more chance? Why is it that no plastic bag will open from the end on your first try? How do those dead bugs get into those enclosed light fixtures? Why is it that whenever you attempt to catch something that's falling off the table you always manage to knock something else over? In winter why do we try to keep the house as warm as it was in summer when we complained about the heat? How come you never hear father-in-law jokes? And my FAVORITE...... The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four persons is suffering from some sort of mental illness. Think of your three best friends -- if they're okay, then it's you. |
| Yesterday was ok, a little sad but my kids were good to me. I got a boquet of white roses and we went out to eat to one of my favorite restaraunts. Cody's birthday ended up going well. He ended up with 40 dollars and a game for his PSII. I didn't sleep to well today after working last night. Too many dreams. I think they were evoked from memories coming up yesterday and the fact that the kid's Dad has been calling them. He called 3 times last week and he called last night. At least I got some reviewing done. I am trying to get caught up on my 2 contests so that I can review some each day on them and when it's time to award the winners it won't take me as long.
